Blank Street is opening its first Los Angeles cafe, seeking Shift Leads to be the heartbeat of the store—driving smooth shifts, high standards, and exceptional hospitality. You’ll train teammates alongside leadership, uphold quality and safety, and bring energy to every customer interaction.

We’re looking for 2+ years in customer-service leadership, a passion for coffee, and the ability to lead with clarity in a fast-paced environment. Join a growing brand building a strong local team.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in a customer service leadership position (hospitality/coffee)
• 18+ years of age
• Able to lift 25+ lbs and stand long periods
• Full Time: 30-40 hours/week, 4–5 days, 2 peak days (Fri–Sun)
• US work authorization (I-9/E-Verify)
• California Fair Chance Act compliance
• Barista accreditation and training program

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts with clarity and confidence, directing and coaching the team
• Train new team members with GM and Training Team
• Maintain product quality, safety, and hospitality standards
• Delight customers with welcoming, consistent hospitality
• Handle customer or team issues calmly and constructively
• Maintain clean, organized environment per health and Blank Street standards
• Operate with best equipment, coffee, and matcha in the store
• Partner with Operations and Marketing for events and promotions
• Master company procedures for cash handling, inventory, and opening/closing
