Job summary

Groundwork Coffee is seeking a Shift Lead who will perform all barista responsibilities and help create a welcoming store environment for guests and team members. You will promote teamwork, uphold standards, and prioritize daily tasks to ensure excellent hospitality across our communities.

The role requires knowledge of coffee and tea, plus strong communication and leadership skills to coach staff and maintain store operations in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Must have ServSafe certification or equivalent Food Handlers card.
• 2 years of barista experience.
• Able to communicate tasks with team and leadership.
• Must perform basic math and have computer skills.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret safety rules and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform barista duties and maintain a positive store environment.
• Uphold Groundwork standards and assist with shift planning and deployment.
• Open and close the store and manage cash handling.
• Provide coaching and feedback to team and guests.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
