Flour Bakery + Cafe on Clarendon Street in Boston is seeking an experienced FOH Shift Lead to join a fast-paced, award-winning bakery team. You will partner with managers to supervise staff, deliver exceptional hospitality, and help ensure smooth service during every shift.

This role offers growth into management with a supportive environment, emphasizing teamwork, communication, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of professional food service experience required.
• Prior supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to stand long hours and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Proficient with cash handling and POS operation.
• Availability 30-40 hours per week, including at least 1 weekend shift.
• Strong hospitality and customer service skills.
• Maintain grooming and uniform standards.
• Ability to take feedback and direction.
• Willingness to work across departments and in a fast-paced kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Be the model of hospitality in the bakery.
• Maintain a positive team environment.
• Provide open communication with management about on-goings, changes, and ideas for improvement.
• Demonstrate pride by maintaining cleanliness and organization, assigning tasks as needed.
• Act as cash controller for shifts, ensuring accuracy of all transactions.
• Manage catering orders and deliveries, including occasional walking deliveries.
• Execute opening and closing duties with the team.
• Deliver food and beverages to guests in the dining area.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and follow repair protocols.
• Assist other departments as needed—Flour operates as one team.
