Job summary

Five Guys is seeking a Shift Leader to guide daily operations at our Moline location. You’ll lead by example, work alongside your team, and ensure every guest walks out impressed with fast, friendly service.

With 1–2 years in hospitality and a team-first mindset, you’ll handle cashier, grill, prep, fries, and dining room roles, training new staff while maintaining brand standards.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of restaurant, retail, or hospitality experience (leadership preferred).
• A team-first mindset with strong communication skills.
• Someone who leads by doing—not just directing.
• Ability to stay cool and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math and comfort using POS systems.
• Food safety certification (ServSafe) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the shift and step in to run operations when management isn't on site.
• Jump into every position—cashier, grill, prep, fries, dining room—to keep service on track.
• Deliver fast, accurate service and create a great guest experience every time.
• Coach, support, and motivate crew members to perform at their best.
• Help train new team members and build a strong, positive culture.
• Keep the restaurant clean, safe, and up to brand standards.
• Manage shift tasks like breaks, cash handling, and closing reports.
