Job summary

Five Guys is seeking a Shift Leader who will guide operations on shift, lead by example, and ensure guests leave impressed. You’ll work side-by-side with your team in a fast-paced kitchen, handling multiple roles as needed to keep service smooth.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of restaurant/retail/hospitality experience (leadership preferred)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Leads by doing, not just directing
• Stays calm and makes quick decisions in fast-paced environments
• Basic math and cash-handling proficiency

Responsibilities

• Lead the shift and manage operations when management isn’t on site
• Work across cashier, grill, prep, fries, and dining room roles
• Deliver fast, accurate service and guest satisfaction
• Coach and motivate crew to perform at their best
• Help train new team members and foster a positive culture
• Keep the restaurant clean, safe, and up to brand standards
• Manage shift tasks like breaks, cash handling, and closing reports
