Job summary

Five Guys in St. Louis is seeking a Shift Leader to guide daily operations, lead by example, and ensure every guest leaves impressed. You’ll work hands-on with the team, stepping in during busy periods and setting a positive tone on every shift.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in restaurant, retail, or hospitality (leadership preferred).
• Strong team-first mindset and good communication.
• Leads by doing, not just directing.
• Calm under pressure and quick decision-making.
• Basic math skills and comfortable with POS.

Responsibilities

• Lead the shift and run operations when management isn’t on site.
• Step into cashier, grill, prep, fries, and dining room roles.
• Deliver fast, accurate service and guest experiences.
• Coach and motivate crew to perform at their best.
• Help train new team members and foster a positive culture.
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and brand standards.
• Manage shift tasks like breaks, cash handling, and closing reports.
