Job summary

Five Guys in Beaufort, SC is seeking a Shift Leader to guide operations on busy shifts, model hands-on leadership, and ensure every guest leaves impressed.

You'll lead by example, train teammates, manage tasks, and uphold safety and brand standards in a fast-paced kitchen and dining area. The role offers growth opportunities as you develop into higher leadership positions.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of restaurant, retail, or hospitality experience (leadership preferred).
• A team-first mindset with strong communication skills.
• Leads by doing—not just directing.
• Ability to stay cool and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math and comfort using POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the shift and step in to run operations when management isn't on site.
• Jump into every position - cashier, grill, prep, fries, dining room - no task is too small.
• Deliver fast, accurate service and create a great guest experience every time.
• Coach, support, and motivate crew members to perform at their best.
• Help train new team members and build a strong, positive culture.
• Keep the restaurant clean, safe, and up to brand standards.
• Manage shift tasks like breaks, cash handling, and closing reports.
