Job summary

Zalat Pizza in Irving, TX is hiring Shift Leads to keep the restaurant moving, mentor the team, and maintain pizza quality.

You’ll open and close, direct shifts, handle customer concerns, and contribute to inventory and scheduling as needed. The role demands hands-on leadership, reliability, and the ability to stay calm under pressure.

Our Shift Leads are hands-on leaders who know how to keep the restaurant moving, the team supported, and the pizza up to standard.

What We're Looking For:

• Previous service-industry experience required
• Pizza experience strongly preferred
• Reliable and consistently punctual
• Access to dependable transportation
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Friendly, coachable, respectful, and team-oriented
• Detail-focused and proud of your work
• Comfortable directing others and making decisions during a shift
• Able to stay calm and neutralize team stress during busy periods
• Open availability, including some opening, closing, late-night, and weekend shifts
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must be able to stand for 6–10 hours, bend, reach, squat, and lift up to 50 lbs.

What You'll Do:

• Make pizzas and maintain our quality standards
• Open and close the restaurant
• Direct the team during shifts and rushes
• Keep the team productive during slower periods
• Handle customer concerns and operational issues
• Lead by example in prep, stocking, cleaning, and service
• May assist with inventory, scheduling, and documentation.

• Competitive base pay starting from $14/hour to $16/hour based on experience
