Job summary

Firehouse Subs in Burleson, TX is seeking a Shift Manager responsible for profitable operation of a specific shift under the General Manager. You will ensure compliance with health, hour and wage regulations, lead a team, and uphold Firehouse Subs policies while delivering guest service, quality and cleanliness.

This role requires hands-on leadership on the floor, coordinating operations, assisting with hiring and training, and reporting issues to the GM.

Responsibilities

• Ensure restaurant compliance with local, state and federal health regulations, including hour and wage laws
• Enforce Firehouse Subs policies and procedures
• Operate shifts within guidelines for food cost, labor, controllables, utilities and sales growth
• Provide leadership to achieve superior guest service, quality and cleanliness
• Assist the GM with current operations game plans and initiatives
• Participate in interviewing, hiring, training and disciplining employees under GM guidance
• Ensure all required programs, reports and legal documents are accurate, complete and on schedule
• Actively participate in Public Safety Foundation initiatives
• Represent Firehouse Subs professionally at all times
• Communicate to the GM/Owner regarding any issues impacting the business
• Able to stand for up to 13 hours on feet
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Other duties assigned by GM/Owner

Position Summary

This shift manager is fully accountable for the profitable operation of a specific shift designated by the General Manager while adhering to all company guidelines and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the restaurant is in full compliance with all local, state and federal regulations, including health regulations, hour and wage regulations, age restrictions, fair employment practices, ADA and other applicable laws.
• Ensure knowledge, adherence and enforcement of all Firehouse Subs policies and procedures.
• Ensure the profitability of the business by operating shifts within established guidelines and requirements for food cost, labor, controllables, utilities and sales growth.
• Provide leadership to the restaurant team to consistently meet standards of superior guest service, quality and cleanliness while embracing the Firehouse Subs culture, mission and vision statements.
• Assist the GM in coordinating and implementing current operations game plans and company initiatives in a profitable and timely manner.
• Participate in interviewing, hiring, training and disciplining employees under the guidance of the GM.
• Ensure all required programs, reports and legal documents are accurate, complete and completed on schedule.
• Actively participate in all Public Safety Foundation initiatives.
• Represent Firehouse Subs in a professional, positive manner at all times.
• Communicate effectively to the GM/Owner regarding any and all issues that may impact the business.
• Able to work on the feet for up to 13 hours at a time.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Any other duties assigned by GM/Owner.

Reports To: General Manager

Compensation: $12.00 per hour
