Job summary

BD is a global medical technology leader seeking a production supervisor at the USA CT – Canaan site. You will lead line teams on a 100% floor role, handling staffing, safety, quality, and daily performance to keep production on track and compliant.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• BA/BS in Science, Industrial management, Business, Engineering or related field preferred.
• 1 year of people leadership experience preferred.
• Manufacturing experience in a highly automated environment recommended.

Responsibilities

• Address safety issues or incidents.
• Manage attendance, vacation, PTO, and performance management.
• Staffing and training plans for assigned shift.
• Daily touchpoints with line associates to support production programs.
• Provide timely feedback to associates and conduct 1:1s.
• Ensure clear communication between production associates and management.
• Resolve issues on the line and lead root cause investigations.
• Prepare and run Tier 1 production meetings with LCO alignment.
• Ensure consistent application of policies and HR involvement when needed.
• Oversee material management, work orders, reconciliation, and cycle counts.
• Conduct daily batch reviews (DHRs).
• Collaborate with Quality, Maintenance and other support roles.
• Lead requalification efforts and sampling on lines.
• Support quality inspections during shifts.
