Job summary

Entergy Mississippi, LLC in Mississippi – Jackson area is hiring a Shift Serviceman (Field & Skilled Trade). You will be the first contact for outages, respond to customer calls, and support electric distribution crews.

This onsite role requires safety focus and teamwork. The job emphasizes emergency response, climbing poles over 100 feet, operating digger derricks and bucket trucks, and strict adherence to safety rules.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A license required.
• Technical school lineman degree or equivalent required.
• Must be a qualified Journeyman Lineman.
• Experience with digger derricks, bucket trucks, and groundwork.
• Ability to work at heights up to and above 100 feet.
• Must meet driver qualification requirements.
• Fitness for duty testing required.

Responsibilities

• Lifting and maneuvering up to 50 lbs.
• Work at heights up to and above 100 feet.
• Climb wood poles up to and above 100 feet tall.
• Use shovels, sledge hammers and jack hammers and other labor tools.
• Work in confined areas with bending and stooping.
