Job summary

PowerLines in Mississippi – Jackson seeks a Shift Serviceman who is self-motivated, communicates well, and remains safety‑minded. You will be the first contact for customers and play a key role in restoring service during outages.

The role requires CDL Class A, Journeyman Lineman qualification, ability to work at heights, and willingness to participate in after‑hours emergency calls. You will support crews, perform emergency locates, and uphold safety standards.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A License required.
• Technical School Lineman degree or equivalent required.
• Journeyman Lineman qualification required.
• Experience with digger derricks, bucket trucks and groundwork with utility crews preferred.

Responsibilities

• Be the first responder to outages and emergencies on the electrical distribution system.
• Respond to customer calls related to the electric distribution system.
• Assist electric construction crews in daily work activities and restoration of service during emergencies.
• Perform emergency locates on underground facilities.
• Participate in after-hours emergency call-outs and maintain safety compliance.
