Job summary

Entergy Mississippi, LLC is seeking an experienced lineworker to construct and maintain OH/UG electric facilities up to 34.5 kV. The role requires installing transformers, regulators and reclosers, and operating bucket and digger derrick trucks. Candidates must read prints, climb poles, and be prepared for on-call emergencies.

Expect to work on-site in Mississippi with potential travel; strong safety mindset and ability to supervise others are essential.

Qualifications

• 5 years of lineman experience.
• Ability to read and interpret job prints and sketches.
• Willingness to work irregular hours and out-of-town assignments.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to plan, execute safely and supervise others.

Responsibilities

• Construct, build and maintain OH/UG electric facilities up to 34.5 kV.
• Install/maintain OH/UG primary line facilities and secondary services.
• Install transformers and wire transformer banks; install regulators, capacitors and reclosers.
• Drive and operate trucks and heavy equipment including bucket and digger derrick trucks.
• Read prints, interpret drawings, and assess materials; climb poles and work energised lines.
• Be available for on-call duty and emergency response.
