Job summary

Entergy Mississippi, LLC seeks a Journeyman Lineman in Hernando, MS. The role involves constructing, building, and maintaining overhead and underground electric facilities with voltages up to 34.5KV, including installation and wiring of transformers, regulators, capacitors, and reclosers.

You will operate bucket and derrick trucks and respond to emergencies. Candidates must have a Class A CDL, be able to work irregular hours and out-of-town assignments, climb poles, and perform physically

Qualifications

Must have or be able to obtain a Class A Commercial Driver's License.
Ability to work irregular hours and out-of-town assignments as required.
Climb and work off of poles of various heights and operate safely in energized environments.

Responsibilities

Construct, Build and Maintain OH/UG Electric Facilities up to 34.5KV.
Install, remove and maintain OH/UG primary line facilities and secondary services.
Install OH/UG transformers and wiring of transformer banks.
Set and climb poles in open areas, rear alleys and energized lines.
Operate equipment including Aerial Bucket and Digger Derrick Trucks.
Be available for on call duty and emergency response.
