Job summary

KidsPeace is seeking a Shift Coordinator to lead an overnight/unit shift and ensure safe, therapeutic care for youth. You will collaborate with nursing and program leadership to manage staffing, admissions, discharges, and crisis response while upholding licensing and organizational standards.

The role emphasizes training support, documentation accuracy, and a commitment to a supportive environment for youth and staff alike.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• At least two years of experience with children/adolescents in mental/behavioral health or caregiving.
• CPR and First Aid Certification required.
• Ability to complete 12 hours of Person-Centered Thinking training within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and operational support for a designated unit or overnight shift.
• Ensure staffing levels, admissions and discharges, and compliance with policies and licensing.
• Support staff performance, training initiatives, and program operations.
• Collaborate with nursing staff and program leadership to maintain appropriate staffing ratios.
• Respond calmly to crises and emergency situations and monitor unit documentation for accuracy.
• Help maintain a safe, respectful, and therapeutic environment for youth.

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Associate's Degree in Mental Health or related field

Bachelor's Degree in Mental Health or related field

CPR and First Aid Certification
