Job summary

KidsPeace seeks an At-Risk Youth Technician (Mental Health Technician) to create a safe, structured environment for children and adolescents facing emotional and behavioral challenges. The role supports long-term residential care for ages 5–21, with compassionate interventions and consistent routines to foster resilience and emotional well-being.

Compensation is competitive ($18.50–$22.00/hr) with full-time and part-time options, including 2nd and 3rd shifts.

Qualifications

• 21 years of age or older.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to attend a 2-week corporate training session (Mon–Fri, 9AM–5PM). Training dates listed in the ad.

Responsibilities

• Supervise clients’ daily routines and responsibilities, ensuring completion of personal care and daily living activities with assistance as needed.
• Document client behavior, progress, incidents, and significant events per policies and regulations.
• Utilize trauma-informed and crisis intervention techniques to support clients with emotional or behavioral challenges.
• Promote positive behavior and therapeutic engagement through structured programming and milieu management.
• Facilitate or co-facilitate recreational, educational, and therapeutic activities and treatment groups.
• Support development and implementation of individualized treatment plans with the treatment team and help clients achieve goals.
• Provide transportation to and from school, medical appointments, and approved off-campus activities.
