Job summary

Carris Reels, Inc. is seeking a Band III Machine Operator for the 2nd shift in Rutland, Vermont. You will set up, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain bolt making equipment, ensuring quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Prior machine operation/manufacturing experience preferred.
• Forklift experience/license preferred.
• High School Diploma or educational equivalent preferred.
• Math skills including adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing.

Essential Functions

• Conducts machine troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance
• Able to read a micrometer and scale
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Must have, or be willing to obtain, a forklift license
• Comply with OSHA Safety and Health rules and Carris Reels safety program
• Maintain clean and orderly work areas
• Excellent attitude, communication, and team work skills

All Other Duties As Required

Education / Experience:

• Prior machine operation/manufacturing experience preferred
• General knowledge of small hand tools.
• Forklift experience/license preferred
• High School Diploma or educational equivalent preferred
• Math skills including adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing
