Job summary

Carris Reels in Rutland, VT 05701 is seeking a Band III Machine Operator – 1st shift to set up, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain bolt making equipment.

The role is full-time with hourly pay of $18.00–$19.78. Responsibilities include reading micrometers, scales, and performing basic math; forklift license preferred; adherence to OSHA and Carris Reels safety programs; and contributing to a clean, collaborative work area.

Qualifications

• Prior machine operation/manufacturing experience preferred.
• General knowledge of small hand tools.
• Forklift experience/license preferred.
• High School Diploma or educational equivalent preferred.
• Math skills including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing.

Responsibilities

• Conducts machine troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance.
• Able to read a micrometer and scale.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Must have, or be willing to obtain, a forklift license.
• Comply with OSHA Safety and Health rules and Carris Reels safety program.
• Maintain clean and orderly work areas.
• Excellent attitude, communication, and team work skills.
• All other duties as required.
