Job summary

Central Arizona Shelter Services is seeking a Shelter Support to float between its three Phoenix shelters—Downtown Phoenix, Haven, and Vista Colina. The role focuses on maintaining a safe, caring environment and assisting individuals with daily needs, including intake and referrals.

You will document interactions in HMIS, coordinate with shelter staff, and help with meals, supplies, and shift handoffs. This fast-paced position requires empathy, reliability, and strong multitasking ability.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card or ability to obtain.
• Proficient in data entry, Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct client support and excellent service to clients, volunteers, donors, and vendors.
• Complete new client intakes; explain rules and tour campus.
• Attend to client needs and escalate to case manager when needed.
• Enter data in HMIS accurately and maintain records.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and assist with supplies.
