Central Arizona Shelter Services, Inc. seeks a dedicated Shelter Support Specialist to maintain a safe, orderly environment and assist individuals experiencing homelessness with daily needs, information, and referrals.

This active role emphasizes compassionate client interactions and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. You will perform client intakes, HMIS data entry, safety checks, and coordinate with leadership to address health, safety, and maintenance concerns while supporting

Qualifications

• Minimum age of 18 and a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Moderate proficiency in data entry, Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct client support and excellent service to clients, volunteers, donors and vendors.
• Complete new client intakes; explain rules and policies and campus tour.
• Enter data accurately in HMIS and maintain organized shelter files.
• Monitor facility safety, assist with bed occupancy and supply restocking.
• Escalate urgent issues to leadership and coordinate with teams and outside agencies.
