Job summary

Central Arizona Shelter Services (CASS) seeks dependable Shelter Support Staff to maintain a safe, welcoming environment for individuals and families overcoming homelessness. You will interact with clients, coworkers, vendors, and partners, delivering respectful service and essential shelter operations.

Responsibilities include safety walks, supplying basic-needs items, bed reservations for 24 hours, meal distribution, and data entry in HMIS.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18; High school diploma or equivalent.
• Moderate level of proficiency in data entry, Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Conduct hourly safety walks across three floors to identify hazards and ensure safety.
• Provide hygiene products and basic-needs items to clients.
• Check clients into the shelter and reserve beds for the next 24 hours.
• Assist with meal distribution and respond to client questions.
• Maintain awareness of shelter activity and report safety concerns.
• Provide excellent customer service to clients, coworkers, vendors, visitors and partners.
