Job summary

Help USA in Bellport, NY seeks a Residential Aide to help ensure client safety, facility security, and orderly operations during your shift.

You will assist clients to attend meetings, coordinate with the Social Services Team, conduct intake/orientation, patrol the site, and document incidents.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, Food Protection Manager Certification, experience in residential facilities, and bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent or equivalent experience.
• Food Protection Manager Certification.
• Experience in residential facilities and work with homeless or disadvantaged individuals.
• Strong customer service skills and Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Night and weekend coverage may be required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct intake and orientation for new clients, explain rules and assign beds.
• Patrol the site to enforce rules and safety during the shift.
• Inventory and secure clients' possessions during absences from site.
• Count beds and meals; assist with locker searches.
• Use DHS CARES to track vacancies and manage check-in/out.
• Inform clients of meetings and escort to appointments when needed.
• Document incidents and notable events during the shift.
