Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Two years of experience in Single Adult Shelters and/or Congregate Residential Services required.
  • Experience working with families/homeless population required.
  • Food Protection certification and CPR/First Aid certification required.
  • Satisfactory background investigation required.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Intermediate computer skills with Word and Excel; ability to learn new technologies and databases.

Responsibilities

  • Complete new resident intake arrival packets, exits logs, and daily occupancy forms.
  • Utilize CARES to complete Intake Check-ins and Discharge Conditional Intakes.
  • Review the Nightly Attendance Roster and incident reports.
  • Receive food deliveries and confirm items/receipts for accuracy.
  • Report inconsistencies with food deliveries to supervisor and program director.
  • Distribute meals to residents and manage food safety per guidelines.
  • Monitor logs to ensure clients sign in/out.
  • Assist in room transfers/swaps and provide access to rooms.
  • Maintain logs and ensure security of belongings and rooms.
  • Collaborate with shifts to maintain a safe environment; perform safety rounds.
  • Attend to duties and complete monthly submissions and housekeeping tasks.
