The Salvation Army in La Crosse, Wisconsin seeks a Shelter Supervisor to oversee client intake, provide supervision, and ensure safety and program compliance. You will coordinate with case managers, supervise volunteers, and maintain orderly shelter operations while delivering compassionate support to residents.

This role requires a high school diploma and experience with the homeless population is desirable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with the homeless population is desirable.

Responsabilités

• Conducts intake interviews for new shelter residents.
• Monitors room assignments and distributes basic necessities.
• Provides necessary supervision of shelter and residents, assuring that rules and policies are being followed.
• Assist with client need, refer to case manager as appropriate.
• Provide de-escalation and crisis response.
• Answers telephone calls, taking messages when appropriate.
• Maintain cleanliness of shelter common areas.
• Assist with food service preparations and serving.
• Ensures shift is documented according to procedures.
• Performs room inspections.
• Supervises volunteers, when assigned.
