Job summary

BOWERY RESIDENTS' COMMITTEE seeks a Shift Supervisor to lead frontline staff, maintain shelter operations, and ensure safety, policies, and documentation standards are followed.

Responsibilities include supervising Community Technicians, overseeing daily shelter operations, and maintaining accurate records. Strong leadership, a background in shelters, and First Aid/CPR certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience in homeless shelters or similar settings preferred.
• At least one year of supervisory or lead experience preferred.
• Knowledge of addiction and recovery processes.
• Strong computer literacy and documentation skills.
• First Aid and Fire Safety certifications required (or willingness to obtain).
• CPR certification required (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Supervise Community Technicians and operations support staff.
• Oversee daily shelter operations, ensuring safety, security, and fire safety compliance.
• Ensure staff follow all agency policies, procedures, and documentation standards.
• Review and maintain accurate records, reports, and clinical notes.
• Respond to incidents and provide guidance to staff as needed.
• Participate in weekly program and leadership meetings.
• Provide emergency First Aid/CPR assistance when required.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
