Job summary

CAMBA Broadway Shelter in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a per diem Shift Supervisor to manage day-to-day operations, ensure client safety, and supervise staff on-site. The role emphasizes maintaining confidentiality, complying with health and safety policies, and coordinating with funders and management.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED with relevant experience (or higher education) and certifications in First Aid/CPR, overdose prevention, fire safety, and CPI.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED with 3 years relevant experience, or AA with 2 years, or BA/BSW or equivalent.
• First Aid/CPR certification required.
• Overdose prevention certification required.
• Fire Safety Coordinator certification required.
• CPI - Crisis Prevention certification required.
• Bi-lingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain professional relationships with clients and ensure confidentiality.
• Input client data and maintain accurate records.
• Ensure compliance with DHS, OTDA, FDNY, DOH, and other policies.
• Oversee shift operations and ensure safety of clients and staff.
• Provide on-site supervision and coverage during shifts.
• Respond to complaints, incidents, and emergencies and document outcomes.
• Engage clients and communicate with staff and funders.
• Prepare shift reports for CAMBA management and funders.
