Job summary

St. Vincent de Paul Society in Phoenix is seeking a Service Coordinator to support shelter operations and residents, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and dignified environment. The role helps residents heal from homelessness and move toward stable housing.

You will work with staff and volunteers, manage intake and exits, keep accurate records, monitor spaces for safety and cleanliness, and respond calmly to emergencies while upholding the 'Let None Be Lost' philosophy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least six months in social services or patient care.
• Level One Fingerprint Card by Day One of employment.
• CPR/First Aid within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Welcome, orient, and support residents during intake, stay, and exit.
• Maintain accurate electronic records according to approved procedures.
• Monitor space to ensure safety, cleanliness, dignity, and a respectful environment.
• Assist with meal service, distribution/inventory/tracking of supplies, and preparation/disassembly of spaces for residents.
• Use the 10–4 Customer Service Rule when interacting with guests, volunteers, staff.
