Job summary

Westhab, Inc. is seeking a Safety Security Officer in the Bronx to ensure the safety and security of clients, staff and facility. The role requires a NYS Security Guard License, a current 8 Hour Annual Certificate, and a Fire Guard License (F02).

Vaccine proof is required. Responsibilities include patrols, access control, incident reporting, and coordinating with first responders when needed. This non-exempt, on-site position reports to the Shift Supervisor and Security Manager, and offers

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Must have NYS Security Guard License and current 8 Hour Annual Certificate.
Fire Guard License (F02) required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Must be able to work flexible shifts, weekends and overtime if necessary.

Responsibilities

Perform daily inspections of all clients' rooms.
Escort clients to appointments as needed.
Monitor client's behavior and provide excellent customer service while enforcing policy.
Control access at the main entrance using magnetometer/x-ray equipment.
Conduct crisis intervention and document incidents and responses.
Make hourly rounds throughout the facility and respond to incidents.
Assist with client intakes and logging of property for AWOL clients.
Maintain organized storage and logs for property.
