Job summary

Volunteers of America Colorado seeks a Residential Relief staff member to cover shifts as needed across RYES programs, including Safe Haven and shelter operations. The role focuses on safety, participant support, and collaboration with staff to deliver housing stability services.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in a related area or equivalent experience in human services.
• 1 year direct human service experience (on top of degree or equivalent).
• Good organizational and planning skills; works well in team and independently.
• Complete program credentialing, including background checks within 30 days of hire and fingerprinting.
• Willing to obtain first aid/AED/CPR and Narcan training.

Responsibilities

• Ensure participants' voices are heard and incorporated into programming.
• Maintain knowledge of program requirements, referrals, support services, and best practices.
• Document all participant interactions and eligibility/demographics accurately.
• Support staff and coordinate with the team to meet participant needs.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness of the facility and assist in milestones like scouting, alarms, and reports.
