Job summary

The Salvation Army Harbor Light Center in Minneapolis, MN seeks a Program Manager of Shelter to lead day-to-day shelter operations and advocates, ensuring a welcoming, person-centered environment. You will partner with HLC leadership on compliance, program collaboration, and staff supervision.

Qualified candidates have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, with supervision experience preferred; a valid driver’s license and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; combination of education and experience considered.
• If degree is in social work, must be licensed by state board.
• Minimum relevant experience; may include employment, volunteering, and lived experience.
• Program and staff supervision experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license, meet MVR requirements, and pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day shelter operations and advocates.
• Assist with compliance, fiscal responsibilities, grants, budgets and contracts.
• Collaborate with leadership on program development and assessment.
• Engage with internal/external stakeholders to promote goals.
• Maintain accurate participant information in casefiles and databases.
• Provide direction and supervision to assigned advocates.
• Occasional local travel as required.
