Job summary

The Salvation Army Northern Division Harbor Light Center is seeking a Program Manager of Shelter to lead daily shelter operations and the advocates team in a client-centered, dignified environment. You will partner with leadership to ensure compliance, fiscal accountability, and program evaluation across shelters and satellite sites.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, a valid driver’s license, and strong supervision skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; experience may substitute.
• If degree is in social work, licensure by state board is required.
• Previous program and staff supervision experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license, MVR checks, and background checks required.
• Experience in shelter operations or nonprofit management is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day shelter operations and advocates.
• Assist with compliance, budgeting, grants, and contracts.
• Collaborate with leadership on program development and assessment.
• Engage in activities to promote Harbor Light Center’s goals.
• Maintain accurate participant data in casefiles and databases.
