Job summary

The Salvation Army Harbor Light Center in Minneapolis is seeking a Program Manager of Shelter to lead daily shelter operations, supervise programming and advocates, and maintain a welcoming, person-centered environment for participants.

The role partners with HLC leadership on compliance, program development, and collaboration across departments, while ensuring accurate participant records and effective use of databases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• If degree is in social work, must be licensed by the state board.
• Previous program and staff supervision experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license, meet MVR requirements, and pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day shelter operations, including programming and advocates.
• Assist with compliance, fiscal responsibilities, grants, budgets, and contracts.
• Collaborate with leadership on program development, implementation, and assessment.
• Engage in internal/external activities to promote HLC goals and objectives.
• Maintain up-to-date participant information in casefiles and databases.
