Job summary

Abode Services is seeking a Shelter Monitor to ensure the safety and well-being of residents in our shelter. The role involves greeting visitors, assisting participants, and supporting daily operations to maintain a clean, respectful environment.

You will document incidents, coordinate with shelter staff, and help implement procedures while remaining flexible, compassionate, and professional in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• 6 months of social services or customer service experience.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with residents, staff and volunteers.
• Experience in crisis response or mental health first aid is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain health and safety of Shelter residents and assist with daily needs.
• Oversee front desk activities, greet visitors, and problem-solve with participants.
• Document incidents and resident needs; monitor shelter guidelines and cleanliness.
