Job summary

Homeless Services Center - Shelter is seeking a Shelter Monitor to oversee residents, uphold safety, and enforce program rules. The role requires collaboration with Case Managers to support Individual Housing Plans and ensure smooth daily operations.

Candidates should have a BA in Human Services or equivalent, or HS diploma with 2+ years in community-based social services. Spanish is a desirable plus; proficiency in Word/Excel and HMIS is expected.

Qualifications

• BA in Human Services or related field or HS Diploma/GED with 2 years’ social services experience.
• Ability to interact and communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
• Prepare written reports, monitor program activities, and ensure safety and security.

Responsibilities

• Monitor residents and ensure safety and compliance with program rules.
• Assist residents and collaborate with Case Managers on IHP completion.
• Monitor medication/logs per policy and document incidents.
• Maintain logs, sign-in/out, and complete incident reports.
• Collect data using the HMIS database and conduct periodic inspections.
