Chicanos Por La Causa, Inc. seeks a Gateway West Homeless Shelter Supervisor to lead Albuquerque’s largest shelter, guiding daily operations and ensuring a safe, supportive atmosphere for residents.

You will supervise staff, coordinate round-the-clock coverage, and coach teams while handling crisis situations and ensuring compliance with program standards. You’ll also partner with community resources to help residents transition to stable housing.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years in social services or shelter management, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily shelter operations and maintain a safe, welcoming environment for residents.
• Supervise staff and coordinate 24/7 staffing coverage.
• Provide coaching, training, and crisis management; ensure services meet program standards.
• Collaborate with community partners to connect residents with resources for housing stability.
