Job summary

St. Vincent de Paul is seeking a Meal & Day Service Coordinator to manage shelter meal programs, ensure CACFP compliance, and supervise kitchen staff and volunteers.

The role includes coordinating donated food, maintaining supplies, and enforcing safety and health standards. You will work with shelter directors to deliver meals, train staff on ServSafe and CACFP, and assist with special events while upholding the organization’s mission and values.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Direct experience in food delivery or service preferred.
• Serve Safe Certification required prior to start.
• Ability to relate respectfully with people from diverse backgrounds.
• Respect for confidentiality of clients essential.
• Able to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office/Office365; willingness to use other software.

Responsibilities

• Manage shelter meal programs, enforce safety regulations, oversee meal service and dining area sanitation.
• Oversee kitchen operations and ensure CACFP compliance and documentation.
• Coordinate donation food pickups and maintain supplies per budget.
• Supervise staff and volunteers; train on CACFP and ServSafe as needed.
• Collaborate with coordinators and directors; coordinate volunteers for meal service.
• Attend staff meetings and support shelter events; uphold mission and values.
• Lift up to 50 pounds and travel between two work sites as needed.
