The position runs as a 5-month contract from 11/01/2026 to 04/01/2027 with no benefits, primarily during day shifts, and base pay around $21/hour.

Requirements

Position Overview:

The Shelter Intake Specialist serves as a frontline staff member responsible for guest intake, assessment, data management, and operational support across all shelter areas. This position ensures accurate documentation, thorough guest assessment, and appropriate service coordination through comprehensive interviews, trauma-informed engagement, and proficient use of the City’s Homeless Management Information System (HMIS). Shelter Intake Specialists maintain a welcoming, professional presence while managing critical data entry and guest services primarily during day shifts.

Please note: At this time, this is a 5-month contract from 11/01/2026 to 04/01/2027 with no benefits. There may be an opportunity for
