Job summary

Children’s Rescue Fund seeks an Assistant Program Director to support the Program Director in managing all shelter sites within the assigned region. You will lead services and staff to ensure high-quality social services and operations, and drive improvements across procedures.

You will oversee the housing team, coordinate housing placement, and facilitate conferences to develop individualized service plans. Strong supervision, crisis management, and data documentation are essential to success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field.
• Experience in social services, housing or emergency shelter.
• Ability to manage complex cases and supervise staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversight of shelter sites and program operations.
• Supervise housing team and ensure placement targets.
• Coordinate with DHS/OTDA and other providers.
• Review documentation and ensure compliance with policies.
• Attend and facilitate conferences and meetings.
• Monitor data entry and prepare reports for DHS.
