Job summary

St. Vincent de Paul seeks a Service Coordinator to support the Shelter Program. Reporting to the Shelter Program Manager, you will assist with stocking supplies, overseeing meals, preparing spaces for new residents, and ensuring a safe, dignified environment for residents and staff.

You will maintain electronic records, manage check‑in, supervise belongings, de-escalate conflicts, coordinate with volunteers, attend trainings, and respond to urgent needs with energy, reliability and collaboration.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and communicate orally and in writing in English.
• Valid AZ Driver's license and 39-month MVR with clean record.
• Active Arizona Level One fingerprint clearance card by day one.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate electronic records of incoming and exiting guests.
• Monitor check-in process and line.
• Accept, label, and store property for overnight guests.
• verbally de-escalate guests when escalation requires intervention.
• Coordinate incident intervention with other staff and security when needed.
• Document and inform leadership of incidents or facility needs.
• Monitor guests to ensure safety, comfort, dignity and respectful environment standards.
• Set up sleeping materials and guest spaces per floor plan and COVID-19 guidelines.
• Coordinate volunteer participant engagement and support volunteers.
