Job summary

The Salvation Army of La Crosse Emergency Shelter is seeking a Food Services Manager to plan, prepare and serve meals for residents and clients, while maintaining a clean, organized kitchen and supervising staff and volunteers.

Responsibilities include creating nutritionally balanced menus, ensuring food safety compliance, managing inventory and coordinating the pantry with donations, and setting up for meetings or events.

Qualifications

• Three years food service experience required.
• Supervisory experience is a plus.
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and serve meals for shelter residents and clients.
• Maintain a clean, organized kitchen area and supervise staff/volunteers.
• Coordinate food pantry donations and manage inventory.
• Ensure food safety requirements are met and proper labeling/rotating of food.
• Submit supply orders and set up for special lunches or meetings.
