Job summary

The Salvation Army La Crosse Emergency Shelter is seeking a part-time Cook to prepare and serve meals for shelter residents and meal program clients. You will help plan and support the daily meal program with the Food Services Manager.

Responsibilities include sanitary kitchen operations, inventory monitoring, and maintaining client records. Evening and weekend availability is required, with opportunities for seasonal support and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• One year food service experience.
• Computer literate with knowledge of MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and serve meals in conjunction with Food Services Manager.
• Sanitary work environment.
• Monitor donations and inventory of food and non-food items.
• Maintain a comfortable and respectful environment for clients.
• Oversee daily food pantry records and monthly statistics.
