Job summary

City Care Inc. is seeking an Advocate to support neighbors experiencing unsheltered homelessness. The role involves guiding guests through services, collaborating with community partners, and maintaining a safe, compassionate environment.

The Advocate will work with a dedicated team to address complex needs at the intersection of poverty, mental health, and housing instability. Shifts include 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, with both full-time and part-time opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Understanding of the complexity of poverty, homelessness, mental illness, substance use and recovery.
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
• Computer literate with accurate data entry.

Responsibilities

• Carry out the mission, vision and values of City Care
• Develop a network of collaborative partners in the community
• Encourage guests to receive services that support housing stability
• Participate in a team culture of hospitality and safety
• Assist guests in daily check-ins and check-outs
• Monitor storage areas and organize monthly cleanouts
• Manage inventory and storage of program supplies
