Job summary

City Care Inc. is seeking an Advocate to support neighbors experiencing unsheltered homelessness, addressing the intersection of poverty, mental illness, and substance use.

You will work within a team to connect guests with resources, promote housing stability, and provide compassionate, confidential service. The role emphasizes collaboration, trauma-informed care, and proactive engagement with community partners.

Qualifications

• Verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Computer literacy with data entry capabilities.
• Ability to multitask in a stressful, complex environment.
• Team player with collaborative mindset.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out the mission, vision and values of City Care.
• Develop a network of collaborative partners in the community.
• Encourage guests to use services that lead to housing stability.
• Foster a culture of hospitality, confidentiality, teamwork and safety among guests and staff.
• Assist guests with daily check-ins and check-outs.
• Monitor storage areas and organize monthly cleanouts.
• Manage inventory and proper storage of program supplies.
