Amentum is seeking a qualified Aircraft Mechanic I (Sheetmetal UH-60) to repair and replace structural components on rotary-wing aircraft, including skin, frames, and assemblies, following manuals and safety standards.

The role involves fabricating parts, balancing blades, applying primers/paints, corrosion control, and performing inspections. Travel and security clearance requirements may apply, with emphasis on safety and precision.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• U.S. military technical school or specialized training course is desired; certification of education level is required.
• Valid up-to-date A&P license (optional)
• Shall have three years aviation maintenance experience, two years rotary wing aircraft experience, and two years on the assigned Mission Design Series (MDS). All experience must be within the six most recent years.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Repairs and replaces aircraft structural components per manuals.
• Fabricates and installs structural parts and skin using forming techniques.
• Balances rotor blades and applies corrosion prevention.
• Performs inspections and final checks on replaced parts.
• Maintains forms and records related to maintenance.
• Assists technicians and handles tool maintenance.
