Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic I to repair and replace structural components on UH-60, AH-64, and CH-47 rotorcraft. You will fabricate, modify, and install sheet metal parts, balance blades, and apply primers and corrosion protection in accordance with manuals.

The role requires reading blueprints and technical drawings, using precision tools, and performing final checks on installed parts. Shifts may vary and international travel could be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• US military technical school or specialized training course desired; certification of education level required.
• Valid up-to-date A&P license (optional).
• MWO - Travel as needed.
• Three years aviation maintenance experience, two years rotary wing aircraft experience, and two years on the assigned MDS within the last six years.
• Valid Driver’s License and must provide own tools.
• Must be able to work various shifts and obtain a passport; travel internationally for OCONUS work sites.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a NACI Public Trust clearance; US citizenship for facility credentials.

Responsibilities

• Repairs, fabricates, modifies and installs structural parts using forming techniques.
• Balances rotary-wing aircraft blades and applies corrosion control.
• Replaces skin, longerons, bulkheads and other structural components per manuals.
• Performs inspections, checks and final assembly verification.
• Maintains records and prepares parts requisitions; assists other technicians as needed.
