Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic 2 (Sheetmetal/Structures) to repair and replace aircraft structural components on UH-60, AH-64, CH-47 according to manuals and safety procedures.

Responsibilities include inspections, repairs, fabrication, and use of precision tools, with 75% travel. Must obtain and maintain a NACI Public Trust clearance; US Citizenship required for facility credentials.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Military technical school or specialized training course.
• A&P license (optional).
• Three years aviation maintenance experience, two years rotary wing experience, and two years on the assigned MDS (within last six years).
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Must provide own tools/toolbox.
• Travel IAW CBA; 75% travel.

Responsibilities

• Repairs, fabrication, modification and installation of structural parts.
• Balancing rotary-wing aircraft blades.
• Making emergency and permanent repairs to windows and enclosures.
• Use of precision tools and alignment fixtures for repairs.
• Prepare forms and records related to aircraft maintenance.
• Lead teams on complex tasks as needed.
