Job summary

Amentum in Washington state is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic I (Sheetmetal/Structures UH-60/AH-64/CH-47) to repair and replace structural components per drawings and manuals. You will fabricate, modify, and install metal parts and balance blades.

The role requires a high school diploma, military technical training preferred, and three years aviation maintenance with rotary-wing experience. A valid driver’s license and tools are required; may require security clearance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• U.S. military technical school or specialized training is desired; certification of education level required.
• Valid A&P license (optional).
• Three years aviation maintenance experience, two years rotary wing, and two years on the MDS within six years.
• Valid Driver’s License; must provide own tools/toolbox.
• Must obtain and maintain a NACI Public Trust clearance; US citizenship for facility credentials.

Responsibilities

• Repair, fabricate, modify and install structural parts and skins using drawings and blueprints.
• Balance rotary-wing blades and perform checks and inspections.
• Removes and replaces defective parts; assist other technicians as needed.
• Prepare requests for parts and maintain repair records.
• Adhere to safety programs and company policies; lead teams on complex tasks when required.
