Job summary

West Star Aviation, LLC in Illinois seeks a Sheet Metal Technician to work on turbine aircraft structures, reading blueprints and following drawings. You may supervise crews and help prioritize projects.

Qualifications

• Basic to advanced knowledge of turbine aircraft structures and related processes.
• Ability to read blueprints and work from drawings.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic sheet metal operations: drilling, riveting, cutting on airframe components.
• Apply and remove sealant, sound deadening and finish materials.
• Maintain, clean and repair shop facilities, equipment and tooling as needed.
• Navigate electronic training, manuals and maintenance databases.
• Communicate clearly in English and collaborate with team.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
