Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. in Chattanooga, TN is seeking a Full-Time Sheet Metal Technician to support turbine airframe work on-site. The role requires basic to advanced sheet metal knowledge, blueprint reading, and adherence to FAA guidelines.

You will collaborate with teams to organize manpower and prioritize projects, while maintaining quality workmanship. A high school diploma or equivalent is required; an Airframe and Powerplant License is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Airframe and Powerplant License preferred.
• Prior sheet metal experience is preferred.
• Basic to advanced knowledge of turbine aircraft structures and reading blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic sheet metal operations such as drilling, riveting, cutting on airframe and associated components.
• Application and removal of sealant, sound deadening and finish materials.
• Maintenance, cleaning and repair of shop facilities, equipment and tooling when required.
• Basic computer skills to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases.
• English communication (speaking, writing, reading) clearly.
• Other job-related duties assigned by supervisor or management.
