Job summary

West Star Aviation is seeking a Sheet Metal Technician to perform sheet metal operations on turbine aircraft structures, read blueprints, and support assembly and maintenance tasks in a hangar environment.

You will work under supervision, with opportunities to supervise crews and organize priorities. A high school diploma or equivalent is required; an A&P license is preferred and a valid driver’s license is advantageous. Safety and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Basic to advanced knowledge of turbine aircraft structures.
• Ability to read blueprints and work from drawings.
• Experience with fastening systems, procedures and techniques.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic sheet metal operations on airframe components.
• Apply and remove sealant, sound deadening and finish materials.
• Maintain and repair shop facilities, equipment and tooling as needed.
• Use basic computer skills to navigate electronic manuals and maintenance databases.
• Communicate effectively in English (speaking, reading, writing).
• Follow FAA guidelines and company safety rules.
